Boy Called Hyppo is a gripping and unforgettable account of the Rwandan genocide through the eyes of a child survivor. The book tells the story of Hyppolite Hakizimana, a Tutsi boy who was just six years old when the genocide began. Hyppolite and his family were forced to flee their home, and they spent the next three months hiding in the forest. During that time, they witnessed unspeakable horrors, and Hyppolite lost many of his loved ones.
Despite the horrors he experienced, Hyppolite never gave up hope. He eventually made it to safety, and he has since become a leading advocate for peace and reconciliation in Rwanda.
