Nur Jahan was born in 1577 in Kandahar, Afghanistan. Her father was a Persian nobleman, and her mother was a Mughal princess. Nur Jahan was a beautiful and intelligent woman, and she was educated in the finest schools. She was also a skilled musician and dancer.
In 1611, Nur Jahan married the Mughal emperor Jahangir. Jahangir was deeply in love with Nur Jahan, and he gave her the title of "Light of the World." She commissioned many beautiful buildings, paintings, and sculptures. Nur Jahan was also a fierce warrior. She led her own army into battle, and she was known for her bravery and courage.
Nur Jahan's reign was a time of great prosperity and progress for the Mughal Empire. She was a wise and capable ruler, and she was loved by her people. Nur Jahan died in 1645, and she is buried in the Taj Mahal alongside her husband, Jahangir.
